D for durian!!

It's great to be a Malaysian. One of the main reasons is : THE FOODS.

Other than the famous nasi lemak, roti canai and teh tarik, it is the durian.

And for some reason durians give out a kind of distinctive smell. Aside of its' notorious smell that can cause serious headache to some people, it is also indescribable delicious.

Maybe, because of its' rich taste, durian are made to be smelly so that human won't be addicited to it.

Aha, this rings an idea. Why not use genetic engineering to produce durians that won't smell bad? Or perhaps find a way to get rid of the odor that stuck in our car? I'm very sure, whoever can solve this smelly business will be listed as a nominee for the Nobel Prize.

But the odor of durian is not that bad. Try googling around and search about durians. Some may describe it bad or smell like shit, mostly before they taste the flesh of durians. :)

Yummy!!

actually the thais did this already. although they can't get rid of the smell totally, it is greatly reduced, for the purpose of widening their market to the western region. they did this many years ago. during my university years in the us i got to taste these durians bought at the vietnemese store. that was in 1990! now during off season in our country they did sell these durians....
